BeatsChain is a Chrome Extension developed under the Unami Foundation’s innovation initiatives. The extension helps musicians analyze beats, generate metadata, prepare SAMRO-compliant radio packages, and optionally mint music content as NFTs using decentralized technologies.
Privacy Policy
BeatsChain Chrome Extension
1. Data Collection and Storage
BeatsChain does not collect or sell personally identifiable information. All data processed within the extension—including metadata, analysis results, and AI-generated insights—is stored locally using Chrome’s storage system. This allows users to maintain workflow continuity and offline access.
When a user chooses to mint or publish content, certain non-personal data (for example, track metadata, artwork, or content identifiers) may be uploaded to the InterPlanetary File System (IPFS) for decentralized storage. No personal data is ever stored on IPFS.
2. Authentication
Optional authentication via Google Sign-In is used only to verify user identity for secure access to Web3 wallet features or cloud synchronization. No passwords, personal identifiers, or financial information are collected or shared by BeatsChain.
3. Permissions and External Services
The extension interacts only with trusted services necessary for its core functions, including:
- IPFS for decentralized metadata storage
- Polygon blockchain APIs for NFT minting
- Google APIs for authentication
- Social platforms (e.g., X, LinkedIn) for user-initiated content sharing
All network requests use secure HTTPS connections and are triggered by explicit user actions.
4. User Control
Users can clear stored data anytime through Chrome’s extension settings. BeatsChain operates transparently, without hidden background tracking or remote code execution.
